Complaint: During construction, work was done on Sundays in violation of Planning Board orders.
Complaint: Loud noise from SMOC vehicles bringing trash from off site to put in dumpster at this location. The Planning Board was notified of this illegal dumping on September 7, 2006, as part of site plan revire for 517 Winter. At that meeting, SMOC executive director Jim Cuddy promised the dumping would stop. Nothing was done until photos were sent to the Planning Board on September 13. Shortly thereafter, the dumpster was removed completely. When the dumpster will be returned and where it will be placed is unknown.
Complaint: SMOC plans to move dozens of transient drug addicts through this shelter/group home each year, in apparent violation of state law.
